Typosquatters register domain names that look almost identical to ours in order to trick users into handing over their credentials or funds. Below are domains we are aware of that impersonate Cape Crypto.
⚠️ Do not visit these links. They are listed here for awareness only.

| capecrypt0.io | Uses a zero and a different TLD |
| capecryptos.com | Adds a trailing "s" |
| capekcrypto.com | Transposes letters in the name |

If you spot a domain not on this list that looks suspicious, please report it by Creating a Support Request.
Known Fake Email Addresses
Scammers send emails that appear to come from Cape Crypto. Common tactics include using look-alike domains, inserting words like "support," "secure," or "verify," and spoofing display names so the sender appears to be "Cape Crypto" even though the underlying address is fraudulent.
Cape Crypto will only ever email you from @capecrypto.com (See full list of Official email addresses). Any email from a different domain is not from us.
Known fraudulent email addresses / domains reported by users:
- help@capecrypto.co (dropped "m" in the tld, instead of .com)
- Capewalletsupport@gmail.com
- support@cape-crypto.com
- noreply@capecrypt0.com
- verify@capecryptos.com
- security@capecrypto-exchange.com
- help@capecrypto.net
- capecrypto.support@gmail.com
- capecrypto.team@protonmail.com
💡 Tip: Always check the actual sender address, not just the display name. A scam email may show the display name "Cape Crypto Support" while the real address is something entirely different.
Fake Social Media & Telegram Accounts
Scammers create fake profiles on Twitter/X, Telegram, Instagram, and Discord to impersonate Cape Crypto staff and offer fake giveaways, "account recovery" services, or investment schemes.
Our team will never DM you first, offer guaranteed returns, or ask you to send crypto to any wallet address, or ask you to pay funds to "release crypto" or "pay fees", or pay anything for any reason whatsoever.
If you are ever contacted by someone on social media claiming to be a Cape Crypto employee, ask them to open a ticket through our official website and do not share any account information.
Phone & SMS Scams
Cape Crypto does not have a customer support phone line and will never call you. We also do not send SMS messages containing links.
The only SMS we send is the One Time Pin (OTP) to confirm your mobile number, while you are completing your identity verification through the Mobile app. We will never send you an OTP out of the blue, if you have received an OTP while not directly in the process of verifying your identity yourself in the Mobile App, consider it fraud.
If you receive a phone call or text message from someone claiming to be Cape Crypto:
- Do not follow any instructions given by the caller.
- Do not click links sent via SMS, even if the message appears to come from our name.
- Hang up immediately when pressured to act quickly, transfer funds, or share your 2FA code, or any personal information whatsoever.
What to Do If You've Been Targeted
- Do not send any funds or share any credentials.
- Secure your account — change your password and review your active sessions at capecrypto.com/security.
- Report the scam to our security team at Creating a Support Request with as much detail as possible (screenshots, domain names, phone numbers, etc.).
- Report the domain or account to the relevant platform (ICANN, Google Safe Browsing, the social media platform, etc.).
- If you have already lost funds, and have the contact details of the scammer (phone number or email address, name etc), consider filing a report with your local law enforcement authority, eg. SAPS, telling them that you are the victim of a scam, and that an imposter posing as an official from Cape Crypto has defrauded you. Include the direct email communication that you have had with us (support ticket thread), and the communications you have had with the imposter / fraudster.
Stay Safe
Cape Crypto takes impersonation fraud seriously and actively works to have fraudulent domains and accounts taken down. Bookmark our official website directly in your browser rather than searching for us each time, and always double-check URLs before entering your login details.
